long overdue entry

This is a very very long overdue entree, which I'm suppose to publish it a very long time ago. But since I've got everything to put it up, might as well I publish it. This similar entry also has been published by Velverse

This is a Disney "Year of Million Dreams" campaign which runs last year, if I remember it correctly. A stunning photography series which caught me speechless. A masterpiece by Annie Leibovitz, which Disney commissioned her to create images featuring international celebrities in fairy tale settings. I simply love it, every single photos for this campaign.

For those who haven't seen it, allow me to share...

Acclaimed actress Scarlett Johansson portrays Disney Princess Cinderella, clad in a glamorous ball gown and 62-carat, Harry Winston diamond tiara, glides down the palace staircase at the stroke of midnight and unknowingly leaves behind a single glass slipper in the scene entitled "Where every Cinderella story comes true".

Singer/songwriter and actress Beyonce portrays Alice from Disney's classic "Alice in Wonderland", together with Oliver Platt as The Mad Hatter and singer/songwriter Lyle Lovett as The March Hare, takes a wild spin in a whirling, giant teacup. This scene is called "Where wonderland is your destiny".

David Beckham portrays the gallant Prince Phillip from Disney's "Sleeping Beauty". Atop a white steed, Beckham, as the brave prince battles a fire-breathing dragon in the scene entitled "Where imagination saves the day".

Tennis ace Roger Federer, portrays King Arthur and pulls a sword from the anvil that holds a magical grip upon it in a new image created by Annie Leibovitz. The gallant scene is reminiscent of Disney's animated film "The Sword in the Stone", in which a young King Arthur follows the wizardly teachings of Merlin. This scene is entitled "Where you're always king of the court".

Celebrity couple, Lopez and Anthony are both portrayed as Jasmine and Aladdin from Disney's "Aladdin". The couples are pictured soar through the Arabian night of a dream scene entitled "Where a whole new world awaits".


In addition to them all, there's also Whoopi Goldberg who is portrayed as the Genie, in this scene of "Where you every wish is our command".

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is the other Hollywood A-Lister stars in this ad. She is portrayed as Wendy Darling, beckoned by dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov as Peter Pan and actress Tina Fey as Tinker Bell, in a scene entitled "Where you never have to grow up".

Another lovely series by Leibovitz, combining Julie Andrews as Blue Fairy and Abigail Breslin as her 'apprentice' fairy, from Disney's "Pinocchio", in a scene entitled "Where the magic begins".


Lovely Jessica Beil, portrayed as Pocahontas, in the series entitled "Where dreams run free".

One of my favourite actress, Rachel Weisz as Snow White, surrounded by forest friends, in the series entitled "Where you're the fairest of them all".

Lovely isn't it.
