the journey to chiang mai...

left bangkok on wednesday to chiang mai, flying with airasia. flight delayed for 1 hour...dem tulan. while waiting for the flight, saw one cute airlines, called "Nok Air". quickly took my camera and snapped it. tourist, sure take photo la...what do u expect.

anyway, arrived in chiang mai around 3pm. then took a taxi to the hotel, quite near actually, about 10 mins from airport. checked in and lepak at the pool side while waiting for the food...super hungry la at that time. food arrived, dem siok, super sedap curry noodle....and had that for the next 4 days there...hehehe.

chiang mai is a very nice place to be. locals there are very friendly, and sometimes a bit scary when they are very very very friendly....not that i don't like, but i'm just not used to people being extra friendly to me.

foods are dirt cheap in chiang mai, compare to bangkok. they had night market on saturday, a very long stretch night market, and practically they sell everything. bought some nice seafood stuffs from the stalls...perghh...nice stuffs they sell there.

there are some other makan places i went, which has a very nice view and decoration. went to riverside view restaurant and had sashimi there....delicious...power siollll....and another one called 'monkey club'...also not bad the food there (no, they don't sell monkey brains there)

most of the time spent in chiang mai was visiting their temples and small markets. i didn't take much of photos in chiang mai town except the temples. during night outing, i went to clubs which played good hip-hop and house music. these clubs are mostly locals, and one thing good is that i look like one of them...except i'm a bit darker coz most of chiang mai people have fair skin....and smooth too...hehehe

one thing you should know about men in chiang mai. from what i observed, most of them are gay, which is quite scary. but not to worry, they won't do you any harm if they know you are straight. one thing good about them is that they have a lot of girl friends, and most of their friends are very good looking.

from wednesday night till friday night, i went back to my hotel at 5am everyday because of hangout with them (the locals). as i mentioned earlier, chiang mai people are very friendly. saturday night i didn't go anywhere since all clubs were closed due to their election day on the next morning. for your information, it's illegal for you not to vote. basically, everyone must vote (providing that you are above the legal age). so on saturday night, i just lepak at the pool side, makan all the stuffs i bought from the night market. actually quite good also coz i can do my packing for the next day flight back to kl.

overall, chiang mai is a nice city to visit. i will definitely go back to chiang mai if i have a chance. lovely peaceful city, nice food, lotsa interesting places to go and very friendly people.
